Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said his country has chosen "active neutrality" over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The statement was made on the day President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia to address the Arab League. The president also met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
The media noted that Saudi Arabia's statement of neutrality could be seen as a success for Ukraine, as the country has maintained close relations with Russia in recent years.
On February 26, 2023, Faisal bin Farhan visited Kyiv and signed a number of agreements.
