Self-proclaimed Belarusian President Oleksandr Lukashenko said that Russian nuclear weapons have already begun moving to Belarus within the framework of bilateral agreements.

Lukashenko said this on Thursday on the sidelines of the Higher Eurasian Economic Forum in Moscow, the corresponding video was published by pro-government Belarusian mass media, Censor.NET reports with reference to "Euro Integration".

The Belarusian dictator commented on the agreement signed by the defense ministers of Belarus and Russia on the placement of Russian nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory.

"A decision has already been made to develop what was said orally. We had to prepare places, storage and so on. We did all that, so... the transfer of nuclear ammunition began," he added.

To a clarifying question, whether nuclear weapons of the Russian Federation are already in Belarus, Lukashenko said: "It is possible. I will come and see."

Earlier on Thursday, the defense ministers of Russia and Belarus signed documents on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory.

We will remind you that at the end of March this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an agreement with the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in the republic.

Then Putin announced that the Iskander missile complex, which can be a carrier of tactical nuclear weapons, was handed over to Belarus.
