US asks Ukraine not to use provided weapons in Russia - Milley

міллі

United States continues to insist that weapons it provides are not used in Russia.

General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, said this following an online meeting of the Ukrainian Defence Contact Group in the Ramstein format on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"The rules that we have set with the Ukrainians are not to use the weapons supplied by the United States for attacks on the geographical territory of Russia. We asked the Ukrainians," the general stressed.

He acknowledged that Ukraine is fighting a war for survival. But he added that "this is a Ukrainian war; it is not a war between the US and Russia, between NATO and Russia".

The West, the United States, supports Ukraine, provides weapons, trains soldiers and provides advisory assistance, but this is not a direct conflict between the United States and Russia.

However, the general said that the US side does not have enough information about what happened in the Belgorod region.
