Russia killed at least 483 children in Ukraine, - Zelensky

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has killed at least 483 children and maimed almost a thousand more.
As reported by Censor.NET with a reference to the PO website, the head of state said this at the conference "UA: War. An unfinished lullaby" on the occasion of the International Children's Day.
Zelensky quoted the diary of an 8-year-old boy Yehor from Mariupol, which begins: "WAR. I slept well, woke up and smiled."
"We live in times when it is happiness for children. When there are air raid sirens every night, and just sleeping is happiness, it is valuable. When there are rocket attacks every night, and waking up in the morning is truly priceless," the president said.
He recalled that Russia had killed at least 483 children since the full-scale invasion began.
"Russia killed - and that is why I will have such wording - Russia killed at least 483 children. Killed. This is not something that can be called with the words "they became victims of Russian aggression" or "they died as a result of an armed conflict". No! Russia killed these children. Russia maimed nearly a thousand more children. And it cannot be said that "they were injured as a result of hostilities," the head of state emphasized.
He also quoted other memories of little Yegor: "I have a wound on my back, skin is torn off. My sister has a wound on the head. My mother has torn flesh on her arm and a wound on her leg. ... My grandmother Galya died, two dogs and the beloved city of Mariupol..."
"Continuing to call a spade a spade, one more consequence of the Russian Federation's aggression should be said. These are millions of families and children whose homes were destroyed by Russia quite deliberately. And it cannot be said that ``they lost their homes due to the corresponding hostilities.'' It is important to say what actually happened. Russia destroyed the homes of millions of people. Millions of crippled destinies, millions of broken dreams," Zelenskyy added.
"Since February 24, Children's Protection Day is every day for us. All 462 days of a full-scale war. 462 days of our battle are primarily for our future, which means for children. For their will and their destiny. For Ukraine, we will leave to them. Europe, which we will build together. A world in which they will live freely. Today we are fighting for exactly what this world will be like," he concluded.
