Ukraine launched counteroffensive, - Western mass media

Western mass media, citing sources, report that Ukraine has launched a long-awaited counteroffensive against Russia.
This is reported by Censor.NET.
Thus, ABC News, citing two Ukrainian officials, including a source close to Zelensky, notes that the active phase of the Ukrainian counteroffensive continues.
"There have been significant changes in the last few hours. Several reports have indicated that a major battle has broken out in southeastern Ukraine, south of the large Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia. Knowledgeable unofficial pro-Ukrainian sources have reported that the southeastern front is becoming more active, and there are unconfirmed images and the message that new modern German-made Leopard 2 Ukrainian tanks are participating in the offensive," the newspaper writes.
The Washington Post also notes that Ukrainian troops have intensified their attacks on the front lines in the southeast of the country.
The publication refers to four people in the Armed Forces, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to publicly discuss developments on the battlefield.
"Ukrainian forces include specialized strike units armed with Western weapons and trained in NATO tactics. The attacks in the southeast of the country mean a significant advance deep into the territory occupied by Russia," WP writes.
The so-called Russian "militants" also reported fierce fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to the publication, the Armed Forces may aim to destroy the so-called land bridge between mainland Russia and occupied Crimea, cutting off the most important Russian supply lines.
WP also suggests that the Defense Forces of Ukraine may also try to liberate Melitopol and Enerhodar.
