Heavy fighting continues, enemy advances unsuccessfully in 4 directions, - General Staff
The four hundred and seventy-second day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Last night, the Russian Federation struck again at Ukraine. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

As noted, over the past day, the enemy launched 8 missile and 74 air strikes, fired 62 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there were killed and wounded among the civilian population, a hospital in Huliaypole, private houses in Zvyahel, Zhytomyr region, a house of culture in Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, and other civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region were destroyed and damaged.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
According to the General Staff, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and heavy fighting continues. Over the past day, 34 combat engagements took place in this area of the frontline.
The situation in the Volyn and Polisia direction remained unchanged.
It is also reported that on the Siversky and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine, and strengthens the composition of the border protection group with units of territorial troops. Over the past day, the enemy conducted an air strike near the village of Budarky, Kharkiv region. It fired mortar and artillery shells at Karpovychi, Leonivka, Hremiach, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Sosnivka in the Chernihiv region; Khliborob, Sorokyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Neskuchne, Volfyne, Pavlivske, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Mezenivka, Slavhorod, and Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy region, as well as more than 20 settlements in the Kharkiv region. These include Basove, Veterynarne, Vysoka Yaruha, Izbytske, Verkhnya Pysarivka, Dmytrivka, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky and Zemlianky in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched air strikes on Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region. Dvorichna, Masiutivka, Lyman Pershy, Kyslivka, Tabaiivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.
According to the General Staff, in the Liman sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Bilohorivka and Vesele over the last day. It carried out air strikes on Nevske in Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Dronivka, Siversk, Spirne in Donetsk region. Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Dibrova, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted an offensive in the direction of Bohdanivka, but was unsuccessful. It carried out air strikes near Kurdiumivka, Bila Hora, and Toretsk. The areas of Zvanivka, Nykiforivka, Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Toretsk, Pivnichne in Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy made unsuccessful offensive attempts near Severne. It carried out air strikes near Vasylivka, Pervomaisk, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. It fired artillery shells near Novodonetske, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske and Pervomayske in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Mariinka. The enemy suffered losses. At the same time, the enemy fired artillery in the area of Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Ostrovske, Kurakhove, Dachne, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted air strikes in the area of Velyka Novosilka and Blahodatne. They shelled Vuhledar, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Zolota Nyva and Neskuchne in Donetsk region.
The General Staff also informs that the enemy is defending itself in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Vremivka, Novosilka, Novopol in Donetsk region and Olhivske, Huliaypole, and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region. It shelled more than 40 settlements with artillery. Among them are Vremivka and Vilne Pole in the Donetsk region; Huiaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske and Zherebianky in Zaporizhzhia region; Marhanets, Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Tyahyntsi in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
Over the past day, the aviation of the defence forces carried out 19 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and 2 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
Over the past day, missile and artillery units struck 4 command posts, 6 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition depots and 5 enemy artillery units at firing positions.
