Great Britain announced new military aid for Ukraine
The British government announced the transfer of new military aid to Ukraine in the field of air defense.
As Censor.NET informs, this was announced during a meeting of the defense ministers of the United Expeditionary Forces, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Sky News.
In Britain, it was clarified that weapons worth 92 million pounds (over 115 million US dollars) will be purchased in the coming months through an international fund for Ukraine.
British representatives note that the weapons that Ukraine will receive will increase the ability to "protect critical national infrastructure, civilians and personnel on the front lines."
"As part of the package, radars will be delivered to protect against indiscriminate Russian strikes, as well as weapons and a significant amount of ammunition," the statement added.
It is worth noting that the United Expeditionary Force includes: Great Britain, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. Such an alliance was created for actions within the framework of UN peacekeeping missions, humanitarian actions and deterring potential opponents, including the Russian Federation, after the occupation of Crimea.
