The border service of Southeastern Finland is currently monitoring the situation on the border with Russia more closely after the attempt of the founder of the "Wagner" PMC, Evgeniy Prigozhin, to organize an armed rebellion in the country.

This is reported by Yle, informed by Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.

"I will not reveal all the details, but we are more closely monitoring the situation at the border and the traffic at the border crossings," said Deputy Head of the Border Service of Southeastern Finland, Lieutenant Colonel Jukka Lukkari.

He noted that the weekend at the border was normal.

"What happened in Russia did not affect the movement. Of course, Yuhannus (Finnish holiday. - Ed.) somewhat livened up the situation at the border, but that always happens on holidays," Lukkari noted.
