A judge who tried to influence the MH17 case by spreading conspiracy theories among other judges has been reprimanded.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to European Pravda.

The Supreme Court, which decides on disciplinary measures, decided to reprimand the judge. Such cases are rare in the Netherlands.

It is known that the judge works in the court in The Hague. Her brother has written a book under a pseudonym in which he claims that flight MH17 was not shot down by a Russian missile in 2014, as the Dutch Security Council and prosecutors ruled.

In November, a court in the Netherlands also confirmed that MH17 was shot down by a Buk air defense missile brought from Russia.

The author of the book believes that the downing of the plane is the work of the special services. With his book, he wanted to convince other prosecutors to be involved in the case, who would focus on other suspects.

The judge distributed her brother's book to judges and prosecutors in the MH17 case. She called the findings of the MH17 investigation a "deliberate and transparent cover-up" and alleged "manipulation and lies".

The Supreme Court ruled that a judge is free to express his opinion, but then it is necessary to consider the "impact of those statements", especially if it calls into question the judiciary.

The judge, who received a written reprimand, was transferred from the criminal division to another.
