Ukraine will receive 14 more Leopard 2 tanks, - mass media

According to the German publication Handelsblatt, Ukraine will receive 14 more Leopard 2 battle tanks from Western partners with the financing of Denmark and the Netherlands.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Voice of America.
Contracts for the new supply have already been signed, and the German government has been involved in the negotiations, as it must approve the export of military equipment. The tanks will be delivered and repaired by the Rheinmetall group, and they should arrive in Ukraine by the end of January, reports Handelsblatt.
The day before, Pentagon deputy spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said that the US Department of Defense, when allocating military aid to Ukraine, foresees the possible loss of equipment.
"Here at the Pentagon, we will always anticipate that there will be damage and loss of equipment and systems that were provided to the Ukrainians. I don't know if there will be replacements (of equipment - ed.) in relation to each other, but as you can see today's announcement of the 40th package of aid to Ukraine under presidential authority is a continuation of support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russians to regain its sovereign territory," she said.
