On the night of 12 July 2023, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from the north-eastern direction (Kursk) with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"A total of 15 kamikaze drones were involved in the strike. 11 of them were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of the 'Centre' and 'East' air commands. Anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile firing groups of the Air Force and air defence of other components of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the attack," the statement said.
Over the current and previous days, Ukrainian aviation conducted nearly 30 group air strikes on enemy rear areas, military equipment, positions, and manpower concentrations.
