Armed Forces seized initiative on battlefield, - Austin
The Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, Lloyd Austin, states that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have seized the initiative on the battlefield with the Russian invaders.

"The Ukrainian people have shown strong resilience in the face of great brutality. Ukrainian forces continue to fight bravely to protect their fellow citizens and their country. Ukraine's counteroffensive marks a pivotal moment in this tragic war. Ukraine's armed forces have seized the initiative to regain control of their sovereign territory, but Russian aggression against Ukraine created an extremely explosive situation," he said.
According to him, the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine has never shied away from the challenges that arise.
"This is an extremely important moment in the history of this war and this century. The United States will stand by Ukraine as long as necessary, and so will this Contact Group," Austin added.
