In Romania, NATO border control was strengthened after Russian attack on port of Izmail on Danube

Romania’s Ministry of National Defense said that "no direct military threats to Romania’s national territory or territorial waters have been identified," but the country is enforcing NATO’s increased border controls following the Russian attack on the Danube port of Izmail.

"The Ministry of National Defense (Romania - ed.) strongly condemns the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the continuation of unjustified and illegal attacks on civilian areas and objects of critical infrastructure of Ukraine. Regarding the situation that arose as a result of attacks on port infrastructure objects in the area of Izmail, near the border with Romania, according to the estimates of the structures under the Ministry of National Defense, no direct military threats to the national territory or territorial waters of Romania were identified," the message reads.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense also announced that it "applies heightened vigilance measures established in accordance with national and allied plans, carries out constant monitoring of national land, sea, and airspace and cooperates with NATO structures to strengthen defenses on the entire eastern flank and deter any aggression against the allied territories".
