Aquadrone that struck Russian tanker last night was packed with 450 kilograms of explosives.
It is informed by The Washington Post referring to a source in Ukrainian intelligence, informs Censor.NЕТ with reference to ZN.UA.
The tanker weighed almost 5,000 tons, and after a naval drone strike, it began to flood. Water rushed inside the vessel. The explosion was visible from afar.
So far, nothing is known about the final damage to the tanker, as well as its current location. According to photos published in the morning, it has serious damage to the engine room and control units.
At the same time, WP has learned that the large amphibious assault ship Olenegorsk Gornyak, which was attacked by Ukrainian naval drones a day earlier, has become unable to perform any combat missions.
As a reminder, at about 1 a.m. today, a surface drone hit a SIG tanker that was transporting fuel for Syria under the Russian flag. The SSU conducted the special operation together with the Ukrainian Navy. It took place in the territorial waters of Ukraine.
