Poland will expand embargo on Ukrainian products if Kyiv continues to escalate grain conflict, - Morawiecki

For Poland, the interest of its farmers will be the most important. The embargo will remain in place until the necessary mechanisms are developed.
This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, Poland is ready to continue helping Ukraine, but not at the cost of "destabilizing the Polish market".
Moravetskyi added that the embargo will remain in place until "mechanisms of cooperation" are developed.
"I warn the authorities of Ukraine: if they escalate the conflict, we will add even more products to the ban on export to the territory of Poland," said the head of the Polish government.
Moravetsky also added that Poland believes in Ukraine's victory and is helping, but the interest of the Polish farmer, the Polish village, and the Poles will be the most important for the country's government.
"It will be so regardless of what anyone in the world says because we do not bow to those from the East or the West, we act only in the interests of the Poles," concluded the Polish Prime Minister.
On September 15, the European Commission announced the termination of restrictive measures on the export of Ukrainian grain and other food products to the EU. Later, the authorities of Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia announced their own bans. In addition to wheat, rapeseed, sunflower, and corn, Poland added cereals and flour to the prohibited list. Hungary extended the ban to 24 commodity items.
Україна подала позов до Світової організації торгівлі, в якому звинуватила ці країни в дискримінаційному ставленні до української агропродукції.
