Ukraine elected to IAEA governing body
Ukraine joined the IAEA Board of Governors for 2023-2025.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
"Ukraine has joined the IAEA Board of Governors for 2023-2025. I thank every country that supported our application," he wrote.
The President stressed that Ukraine remains a reliable international partner in the field of nuclear energy and promised to make every effort to strengthen the important role of the IAEA and enhance nuclear safety and security.
"We all have to work together - everyone in the world who values security - to put an end to all forms of nuclear blackmail that Russia is trying to make the norm. Nuclear and radiation safety must be guaranteed," Zelensky added.
