To the south of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation, have success in some directions, and consolidate their positions. The situation is "stable tense".

Illia Yevlash, the head of the press service of the Eastern group of troops, announced it on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

"To the south of Bakhmut, we are still continuing the offensive operation, we are having success in some directions, and we are continuing to consolidate on the achieved boundaries. The enemy is trying to recapture the lost position in the area of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, but without success," Yevlash noted.

According to him, the situation in the Bakhmut direction is consistently tense, but under control. The enemy fired 629 times at the positions of the Armed Forces, used its rocket and barrel artillery, and used aviation 5 times.

In addition, Yevlash informed that 7 combat engagements took place in this direction and 184 occupiers were eliminated.

Among the equipment destroyed by the Eastern defense forces: 5 tanks, a number of artillery systems, including Nona-S, 2 Hyacinths, 5 Msta-B systems, 2 Carnations, 2 Grad MLRS (multiple launch rocket system), 2 Akatsiya, 1 D-20 artillery piece, 6 D-30 artillery pieces.

The Defense Forces also destroyed 6 vehicles used by the enemy to transport various types of supplies to their positions, an "Osa" anti-aircraft missile system, a "P-18" radar station, 14 "FPV drones", and 4 "ZALA" UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).

Yevlash noted that we have modern radar stations that detect the work of enemy artillery.

"We set up intersections, after which we conduct further supplementary reconnaissance and inflict clear fire damage on the enemy's positions. Among other things, it can be mortar detachments, guns firing at the positions of our troops," explained Yevlash.

According to him, due to the high intensity of hostilities, the enemy is forced to pull its guns closer to the front.

"He is also trying to hit our back areas and equipment, but thanks to the skillful actions of our units, we manage to outplay this large number of Russian artillery systems," he emphasized.
