ізраїль

Israel’s military-political cabinet supported the use of Article 40 of the Aleph Law, which means an official declaration of war.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

As noted, this clause stipulates that "the state will not start a war and will not take significant military actions that could with a high degree of probability lead to war, except in the case of a corresponding government decision."

According to the Israeli state broadcaster, the activation of the clause will allow the

  • the government to order "significant military actions that may with a high degree of probability lead to war";
  • change the amount of compensation payments to be paid by the state to the victims.
    "At the same time, tomorrow morning, the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee will hold a special hearing to approve the mobilization of the reserve," the broadcaster notes.

In particular, the ministers approved emergency rules that allow for hearings in courts without the presence of detainees. This decision was made due to difficulties with the transportation of prisoners and police personnel.
