US does not plan to send troops to Israel, - Kirby
The United States has no plans to send troops to Israel.
As Censor.NET informs with reference to the EP, this was stated by the coordinator of the National Security Council for strategic communications, representative of the White House, John Kirby.
"There is no intention to send American troops there," he said.
However, according to Kirby, US President Joe Biden "will always ensure that we protect and defend our national security interests wherever those interests are, including, in particular, in this part of the world."
Kirby added that the first tranche of additional US security assistance to Israel in response to the Hamas attacks was on its way as of Monday evening.
"We expect that there will be additional requests from Israel for security systems as they continue to expend ammunition in this fight, and we will support them," he concluded.
