Zelensky: Russia is interested in reducing aid to Ukraine, world must prevent world war

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the war will not end if partners do not help Ukraine.
He said this at a press conference in Brussels after talks with the Belgian Prime Minister, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"Because if we do not help Ukraine, the war will not end, we will not have power, Russia will return to destroy all of Ukraine and move on. And then it will be the EU and NATO countries. ... I think that what is happening in the world is not accidental. Today, they are interested in reducing assistance to Ukraine, and they are doing various things, even tragic things, even on other continents, in other parts of the world, in order to reduce attention to Ukraine, assistance for Ukraine," he said.
According to Zelensky, after the terrorist attack, Israel had every right to defend itself and to take anti-terrorist actions.
"I just want to tell you that we need the world to prevent a full-scale war. This could be the beginning of a great war, a great tragedy. ... The world is in a situation where a world war could break out on any continent. That's why my assessment of the current situation is that leaders can stop a possible global war through politics rather than weapons," the President stressed.
"The cheapest option for everyone is to stop Russia in our country, to end the war in our country, to withdraw them from our territory. Then, I am sure, there will be no major war both in Europe and around the world," the head of state added.
Zelensky also said that in response to his question about a possible reduction in aid "during a period of challenges in the United States, when the elections are approaching, the partners said no."
"Who actually knows how this will happen? Nobody knows, in my opinion. We are counting on our direct, strong relationship with the United States and with President Biden, we are counting on bipartisan support, we are certainly counting on our friends in the European Union," he concluded.
