The evening summary states: "The 596th day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country continues.
There were 55 combat engagements over the day. In total, the enemy launched 2 missiles and 55 air strikes, fired more than 20 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus have been identified.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, continues shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. It carried out airstrikes near Popivka and Seredyna Buda in the Sumy region. About 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Bleshnia and Buchky of the Chernihiv region; Mefedivka, Seredyna-Buda, Fotovyzh, Chuikivka, Stepok of Sumy region; Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Veterynarne of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 4 enemy attacks near Synkivka and 8 attacks near Ivanivka of the Kharkiv region. More than 15 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling in particular, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Ivanivka, and Synkivka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka, Novoliubivka, Serebrianskyi forestry in the Luhansk region and Spirne, Vesele, Siversk of the Donetsk region. Defense forces repelled four enemy attacks near Makiivka of the Luhansk region and near Serebrianskyi forestry of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the occupiers, including Nevske, Bilohorivka of the Luhansk region and Spirne, Rozdolivka, Verkhnokamianske of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders are courageously holding the defense, repelled 7 enemy attacks near Avdiivka and another 7 attacks near Lastochkyne, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. The occupants carried out air strikes near the settlements of Novokalynove, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled about 10 enemy attacks in the Mariinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region over the last day. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers including Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka in Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the occupants launched air strikes near Novomykhailivka and Staromaiorske of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position in the area of Robotyne of Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers carried out an air strike near Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery and mortar shelling was hit by about 20 settlements, in particular, Malynivka, Orihiv, Novoandriivka, Piatykhatky, Stepove of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Antonivka, Kherson, Bilozerka of the Kherson region and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
During the day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and 2 - on enemy anti-aircraft and missile complexes.
Missile troops hit the enemy's control center and 9 artillery pieces".
