Russian Army intensified its assaults near Mariinka, - General Staff
The army of the aggressor country intensified its assaults not only in the area of Avdiyivka and Kupiansk but also near Mariinka. However, our soldiers continue to put pressure on the enemy on two areas of the front.
This was announced by the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the AFU continues their assaults south of Bakhmut and is entrenched at the achieved boundaries. But the occupiers tried to regain their positions near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.
In the Melitopol direction, our defenders have partial success. In particular, in the area southwest of Verbove. Also, in this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are restraining the enemy east of Mala Tokmachka.
As Kovalev noted, the occupiers, with the support of aviation, are still trying to surround Avdiivka. The AFU repulsed three attacks during the day. The Russians also stepped up in the Mariinka direction, where the defenders repelled 17 attacks.
Fierce battles are also ongoing in the Kupyansk direction. During the day, our soldiers repelled 15 enemy attacks, and 5 attacks in the Lyman direction.
