German Rheinmetall and Ukroboronprom formed joint venture - Shmyhal
The German defense concern Rheinmetall and "Ukrainian Defense Industry" will jointly repair and maintain military equipment.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"The joint venture will carry out maintenance and repair of equipment supplied by our partners to Ukraine. Also, this enterprise will carry out the localization of production of leading models of Rheinmetall AG equipment," the message says.
According to Shmyhal, Rheinmetall - Ukrainian Defense Industry LLC was registered on October 18.
"The creation of a joint enterprise is, without exaggeration, a landmark event that takes the cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level and will allow us to build the arsenal of the free world together," the prime minister added.
