Participants of Crimean Platform Summit adopted joint declaration

The participants of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which took place today, 24 October, in Prague, adopted a joint declaration.

This was announced on Facebook by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, Censor.NET reports.

The summit participants in the final document, in particular:

Stressed that the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders, including the de-occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the ensuring of Ukraine's state sovereignty, is a fundamental prerequisite for ending the war and establishing lasting peace in the region.

Condemned the legal nullity of the so-called "referendums" and "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They condemned Russia's withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, systematic attacks on export infrastructure, threats to commercial shipping, and the blockade of Ukraine's seaports, which threatens global food security.

Stefanchuk also said that the participants declared their intention to:

  • support the provision of political, diplomatic, military, security, financial, humanitarian and other assistance to Ukraine;
  • provide Ukraine with all necessary assistance to achieve EU membership;
  • support the application and further strengthening of sanctions against Russia, take diplomatic, economic and other measures to put pressure on Russia, and counteract the circumvention of sanctions.
