Possibility of new offensives by Russian Federation remains, - White House

Despite the significant loss of manpower and equipment of the Russian Federation during the offensive near Avdiivka, as well as the low morale of the Russian army, the possibility of new offensives by the Russian Federation remains in the near future.
This was stated by John Kirby, coordinator of the National Security Council of the White House, during a press briefing in Washington on Thursday, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"The Ukrainian side withstood and maintained its defense during this offensive, successfully repelling Russian tank columns advancing on Avdiivka," the White House representative noted.
"We expect new attacks from Russia. This is a dynamic conflict, and we must remember that the Russian Federation still retains a certain offensive potential and, it is possible, will be able to achieve certain tactical gains in the coming months," said Kirby.
Kirby also emphasized that the mobilized forces of the Russian Federation remain insufficiently trained, insufficiently equipped, and unprepared for combat operations. In view of all this, a representative of the Biden administration expressed the opinion that the Russians are using "human wave tactics", throwing untrained and ill-equipped soldiers into the hell of war.
And while Russia continues its brutal attacks, the United States must continue to support the Ukrainian people and their defense potential, the White House representative emphasized. In this regard, he emphasized the importance for American lawmakers to step up and pass the additional request that President Biden submitted to Congress last week.
