Parliament approved 2024 budget overall
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the State Budget for 2024.
This was reported by People`s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, Censor.NET reports.
The decision was supported by 276 people's deputies.
"The main macro changes
- Budget revenues increased by UAH 22 billion and they amount to UAH 1.768 trillion.
- Expenditures almost remained the same at 3.35 trillion hryvnias.
- The state budget deficit was reduced by UAH 22 billion and now amounts to UAH 1.57 trillion.
- External borrowings were reduced by 103.5 billion (from $42.9 billion to $41), in order to agree with the IMF). This was covered by an increase in domestic borrowing by UAH 81.4 billion.
- The forecast for real GPD (Gross Domestic Product) was reduced to 4.6% (in the first reading it was 5%).
- Inflation forecast at 9.7% (10.8% in the first reading).
- Assumptions about the hryvnia exchange rate - an average of UAH 40.7 per dollar per year. (was 41.4 UAH per USD) " - said the parliamentarian.
