1523 civilians remain in Avdiivka

In the front-line Avdiivka (Donetsk region), 1523 civilians remain.
This was announced by the head of the Avdiivka Municipal Military Administration Vitalii Barabash, Censor.NET informs with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Today we managed to evacuate 19 citizens from the city... People came more actively: there was an appointment for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, and the day after that. I am glad that people have really already made this decision for themselves, that life is still more valuable than some conditional square meters of that destroyed housing. As of this evening, unfortunately, 1,523 people still remain in the city," said Barabash.
As of the beginning of 2019, 32,800 people lived in Avdiivka, but due to constant shelling by the Russian occupiers, starting in 2022, most of the residents left the city, and at the beginning of June of this year, only 1,700 permanent residents remained in Avdiivka.
