The Dutch government has allocated an additional 2 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine in 2024. This will bring the total amount of aid from the Netherlands to about 7.5 billion euros.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, Keesa Ollongren, Censor.NET reports with reference to Reuters.

These funds are part of a bigger aid package that the Netherlands will provide to Ukraine next year, which includes an initial €102 million for reconstruction and humanitarian assistance, to be increased throughout the year if necessary.

Ollongren noted that after the adoption of the latest package, the total amount of support provided by the Netherlands to Ukraine is about 7.5 billion euros.

"For me, the most important thing is that next year we will provide an additional 2 billion euros in military aid. "This will maintain our support for Ukraine and ensure its continuity, which is critical for Ukraine," she said, referring to the November 22 elections in the Netherlands that will change the composition of the government coalition.
