Russia vetoes UN resolution on MH17 tribunal
Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on establishment of a tribunal over the downing of MH17 airliner in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
This is reported by Censor.NET.
As reported earlier, Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vitaliy Churkin said on Monday that Russia would veto the resolution if the document scores nine out of 15 votes necessary for its adoption.
The draft resolution on establishment of the tribunal over the Boeing crash was offered by Malaysia on behalf of the group investigating into the accident. Besides Malaysia, this group includes Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ukraine.
