Future OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Borg: Russian war against Ukraine must stop
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta, Ian Borg, who will chair the OSCE next year, stressed that Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine must stop.
He said this at a press conference in Skopje after the OSCE Ministerial Council, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Our organisation was created on the basis of common principles and values. It is an inclusive platform for effective dialogue. We must focus on ending wars and conflicts. Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine must stop," Borg said.
According to him, during its chairmanship of the OSCE, Malta will work "in the spirit of the principles of the Helsinki Final Act" to strengthen dialogue and "change the situation for the better" through multilateralism.
"The unanimous vote of all 57 countries is a testament to our common commitment to continue to strengthen our organisation and to ensure that despite all the challenges we are currently facing, we will ensure that this organisation remains strong," Borg said.
