Unknown people collect information from Ukrainian citizens using Umerov’s fake telegram channel, - Ministry of Defense
The Ministry of Defence warns that fake telegram channels belonging to Defence Minister Rustem Umerov have appeared on Telegram and are being used to collect information from Ukrainians.
The Ministry of Defence announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Unknown persons are using the name and surname of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine to collect information from Ukrainian citizens. Unknown persons have created an account on Telegram using the name and surname of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine. Today, they started collecting data, pretending to be an official channel of information. Please note that Rustem Umerov does not have a Telegram account. We ask you not to provide any information at the request of the individuals who run this account, as well as to file a complaint against them," the statement reads.
It is noted that thanks to the efforts of Ukrainians, the fake account was labelled "fake".
