The evening summary states: "The 652nd day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country continues.
The Russian Federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it did not abandon its plans for the full occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult. There were 56 combat engagements over the day.
The enemy launched 3 missile and 39 air strikes, carried out 27 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. The Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using 14 Shahed-136/131 UAVs, 12 enemy drones were destroyed. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. About 25 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy, Mykhalchyna Sloboda of the Chernihiv region; Fotovyzh, Vovkivka, Volfyne, Yastrubyne, Basivka, Mohrytsia of the Sumy region; Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Lyptsi, Starytsia, Okhrimivka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Synkivka of the Kharkiv region. The enemy conducted an air strike near Petropavlivka area of the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements, in particular, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove of the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the defense forces repelled all attacks by the enemy, who tried to oust our units from the occupied lines in the area of the settlement of Terny of the Donetsk region. In addition, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of the Serebryanskyi forestry of the Luhansk region. More than 15 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling by the occupiers, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 19 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, in particular Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and New York of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. About 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka, Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 5 attacks on the positions of our defenders. The following areas came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers: Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations. Artillery and mortar shelling were hit by about 10 settlements, in particular, Vodiane, Vuhledar, Staromaiorske, Urozhaine, Zelene Pole of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy also conducted an air strike near Kopani of the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements, including Levadne, Malynivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, Shliakhove, Vesele, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, the city of Kherson and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were hit by enemy artillery fire.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the positions of the Russian occupiers.
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Units of the Missile Forces inflicted damage on the electronic warfare station of the Russian invaders."
