Australia has provided Ukraine with additional batch of MRAP Bushmaster
Australia has sent an additional batch of Bushmaster armored vehicles to Ukraine.
This was announced by Australian Ambassador to Ukraine Bruce Edwards, Censor.NET reports with reference to Voice of America.
"There are few things that can say Merry Christmas to a close friend across the seas better than saving lives. We are proud to recognize Bushmasters as one of the key military aid provided to Ukraine. More are on the way! Unpack them before December 25!" - Ambassador Edwards wrote in the social network X.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine thanked its Australian colleagues, noting that in September 2022, Bushmasters provided by Australia played a decisive role in the successful counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region.
"Today we would like to thank our Australian friends at the Australian Department of Defense. Despite the considerable distance between our countries, we are united by common democratic values. We are particularly grateful for the Bushmaster MRAPs that have been provided to the Ukrainian army. In September 2022, Bushmasters played a crucial role in the successful counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region. Due to its resistance to mine explosions, this vehicle saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. Maneuverability and cross-country ability are also important for performing combat missions," the Ministry of Defense wrote on social network X.
