Ukraine offers long-term cooperation to defense companies, - Kamyshin

Ukraine is ready to share its engineering experience and offers long-term cooperation to companies engaged in defense technologies. Ukrainian manufacturers, who have experience in transitioning from Soviet-style weapons to NATO-standard weapons, can transfer this experience to those countries of the Global South that currently depend on the supply of weapons from the Russian Federation.
This was said by the Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin during the DFNC1: US Edition conference, Censor.NET reports.
"We will be happy to share experience in the field of defense technologies because it is defense technologies that allow us to give asymmetric responses when the enemy is outnumbered. This is an opportunity to open new markets. We all know that the war has depleted stocks and warehouses around the world - these warehouses will need to be replenished. Ukraine, on the other hand, offers more long-term prospects, and this is our uniqueness," Kamyshin noted.
He noted that, in addition to replenishing the NATO countries, after the victory, Ukrainian manufacturers who have the experience of transitioning from Soviet-style weapons to NATO-standard weapons, can transfer this experience to those countries of the Global South, which currently depend on the supply of weapons from Russia.
As an example, Kamyshin cited the FrankenSAM program, within which Soviet weapons are adapted to the corresponding NATO models. This program is already being implemented, for which the minister thanked US Deputy Secretary of Defense William LaPlante and his team - Laura Cooper and William Schreiber.
The minister emphasized his confidence that after the end of the war, Ukraine, together with international partners, will be able to take a share of the Russian market in arms exports.
