The wife of Yurii Boiko, a member of the banned Opposition Platform for Life (OPFL) party, owns an apartment in the center of Moscow with an area of more than 220 square meters.

According to Censor.NET, this is stated in the material of "Schemes".

The People's Deputy declared an elite apartment in the heart of Moscow near the Kremlin, with an area of 220 square meters and an official cadastral value of 192 million rubles (77 million hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate). He considers his property in Russia to be "frozen".

"There hasn't been a legal way to transfer funds from accounts or sell an apartment since 2014. And carrying cash in a suitcase like Ostap Bender across the Romanian border was against my principles. That is why I consider money and real estate in Russia to be "frozen," the parliamentarian said in a comment to Schemes.

According to the journalists, Boiko did not directly answer whether his family pays a mandatory regular payment to the Russian budget - the real estate tax on physical entities.

"Based on the official cadastral value, it should amount to almost 400 thousand rubles annually (about 150 thousand hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate)," the article says.

He explained that he is unable to check what is happening to his property in the Russian Federation: "I can't say what is happening with the apartment and accounts now, because I have not been able to check their status for almost two years. Before the war, the apartment was empty, no one lived there. I do not know what is happening to it now. But I am obliged by the current legislation to reflect these assets in each annual declaration."

According to Schemes, the People's Deputy declared an apartment in the Russian Federation registered in the name of his wife Vira Boiko. The public declaration does not indicate where exactly the Ukrainian politician's real estate is located in Russia, but investigators found that it is an apartment in an elite neighborhood in the heart of Moscow in Zachatovsky Lane with a total area of 220 square meters.

"The official cadastral value of this property is RUB 192 million (UAH 77 million at the NBU exchange rate as of the date of publication). The residential complex is called "Your Club House", as stated in the advertisement, it is "an elite mansion in one of the most prestigious locations in the capital, in the Golden Mile area". Boiko's family purchased the luxury square meters in Moscow in 2006, two months after he was appointed Minister of Fuel and Energy in Viktor Yanukovych's government," the article says.
