Currently, 62,000 Russian troops are deployed in Bakhmut direction

Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut sector are in active defense, repelling enemy attacks. Over the past day, 6 enemy attacks were repelled.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to Ukrinform, this was stated by Volodymyr Fito, head of the public relations service of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the air of the United News telethon.
"There are currently 62 thousand Russian occupants in the Bakhmut direction. Their number hardly changes. But they are pulling up reserves for replenishment of losses, and the enemy's losses are serious," said Fito.
He noted that this direction is a priority for the enemy - they are trying to move towards Chasiv Yar.
In addition, the enemy is trying to advance in the area of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka.
Fito said that over the past day, Russian occupants used 19 kamikaze drones and fired 344 times at Ukrainian positions.
"The enemy is trying to pressure Ukrainian positions in the Bakhmut direction. We can see the presence of Russian paratroopers, marines, assault units Z and V, which are formed of former prisoners," he said.
Also, according to him, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 135 Russian occupants and 27 pieces of military equipment in this area over the past day.
