Ministry of Defense presented procurement agency "State Logistics Operator (DOT)"

The Ministry of Defense presented the State Logistics Operator ("DOT") agency, which will handle procurement for the Armed Forces in accordance with international standards and NATO principles.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
According to Defense Minister Rustem Umierov, the problem of dishonest procurement for the defense sector has been going on for decades, and it is "important for the new team to put an end to this story." "The army will receive everything on time, in sufficient quantity and of high quality, contractors will have clear rules and the opportunity to plan, and society will see fair and reasonable prices," the minister promised.
A new enterprise, the State Logistics Operator (DOT), will take over the responsibilities and launch all logistics procurement processes for the Armed Forces, including food, clothing, fuel and lubricants, body armor, and helmets.
On October 30, the Minister of Defense appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as the head of this agency. The agency will start making purchases from the state budget in 2024.
During the presentation of the new agency, the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi said that the army expects the concepts of the Armed Forces and corruption to be incompatible.
"The Armed Forces should focus on fulfilling their tasks. Not on the search for food, clothing, and protective equipment," Zaluzhnyi said. According to him, the Armed Forces also expect the new agency to provide everything they need in a quality manner and, most importantly, to do so on time.
