Prisoner exchange process complicated by position of aggressor state, - Zelenskyy
The process of exchanging prisoners between Ukraine and Russia is complicated because of the aggressor country. But now our state is working to return a quite large number of defenders.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference.
The Head of State emphasized that he could not say what exactly complicated the exchange of prisoners, as it would be "not very ethical."
The President admitted that the authorities may not communicate enough on this issue. He promised to transfer this to the Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets and the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.
"This "pathway" is working, it has indeed slowed down for reasons on the part of the Russian Federation, but there are very specific reasons for that. The "pathway" will open. We are currently working hard to return a quite large number of our guys," Zelensky said.
