Lithuania plans to train 3.5 thousand Ukrainian soldiers next year
Lithuania has already trained 1.6 thousand Ukrainian soldiers in 88 different courses.
This was reported by the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Censor.NET informs with reference to the EP.
In 2023, Lithuanian instructors trained about 2,900 Ukrainian military personnel in Lithuania and as part of a multinational program in the UK and the EU mission. This included basic training, as well as training on specific types of equipment and training for commanders of various levels.
At the same time, 1,600 Ukrainian soldiers were trained in Lithuania in 88 different courses, and sappers were trained as part of Lithuania's initiative with the Nordic countries.
Next year, Lithuanian instructors will be involved in training about 3,500 Ukrainian military personnel - again within the framework of the EU mission EUMAM, Operation Interflex in the United Kingdom, and in Lithuania.
