Russian hackers are sending malware emails through Kyivstar’s failure

Russian hackers are using the situation with Kyivstar to send emails to Ukrainians. They send archive files with the names "Subscriber’s debt", "Request", "Documents", etc.

This was reported by the State Special Communications Service, Censor.NET reports.

"Ukrainians received emails regarding the 'Debt under the Kyivstar contract' containing attachments in the form of the archive 'Subscriber's debt.zip' with attachments in the form of password-protected RAR archives," the statement said.

The hackers also sent emails with the subject line " SSU request" and the attachment "Documents.zip".

"Opening the archive and running the file, as in the previous case, leads to infection with the RemcosRAT remote access program," the State Special Communications Service warned.

Experts advise filtering emails with password-protected attachments (both archives and documents).
