Missile attack on Kyiv: death toll rises to 28

On the morning of January 1, 2024, it became known that 28 people were killed as a result of a missile strike on Kyiv.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Municipal Military Administration Serhii Popko, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that rescuers found the bodies of 4 more victims under the rubble.
"The total number of deaths is already 27. 30 people have been injured. The search and rescue operation continues," the statement said.
Popko reminded that 1 January was declared a Day of Mourning in the capital.
Around 10 a.m., the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that they had found another dead person.
"The bodies of 28 people have already been unblocked from the rubble in the Shevchenkivskyi district," the statement said.
