Russian mercenary detained near Bakhmutivka

As announced by the SBU press service, a 48-year-old Russian arrived in Ukraine with intention to join illegal armed units in the temporarily occupied territory, Censor.NET reports.

The man did not realize by whom he had been detained, taking Ukrainian military for the "LPR" militants. Therefore, he said he wanted to join the terrorist group and asked to give him a weapon.

The captive carried a passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation, two knives, and drugs.

Law enforcers are figuring out the circumstances of detainee's coming to the territory of Ukraine.
