Mayor of occupied Skadovsk, Yakovlev, commented on episode of "Kvartal 95": I hope directors have strength to apologize. VIDEO
The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Yakovlev, commented on the New Year’s joke of the "95 Kvartal" about the lack of knowledge of Ukrainian by the residents of occupied Skadovsk.
He said this in Facebook, Censor.NET іnforms.
Thus, the mayor called on the show's directors to apologize to people for the jokes.
"Petliura was very right when he said: "We are not so afraid of Moscow lice, we are afraid of Ukrainian nits." The jokes about "tits" from Skadovsk probably seem very witty to some people. But let it be on the conscience of the directors. I hope they have the strength to apologize to Ukrainians.
Skadovsk is under occupation today, and what the people of Skadovsk really need now is support. I know that many of our people were Russian speakers, but everyone understands Ukrainian and speaks it well," the mayor said.
Yakovlev also announced a flash mob "Skadovsk speaks Ukrainian". He invited all residents of Skadovsk to read something in Ukrainian.
Earlier it was reported that "Kvartal 95" studio released an issue that offended the residents of occupied Skadovsk. A complaint has already been filed against "1+1" TV channel to the Commission on Journalistic Ethics.
