Ukraine and Lithuania agree to jointly produce anti-drone weapons

Ukraine and Lithuania have agreed to jointly produce defence equipment, including anti-drone weapons.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said this at a press conference in Vilnius after talks with his Lithuanian counterpart Gitanas Nausėda, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"We paid considerable attention to the developments at the frontline. I am grateful for the new defence support we have agreed on. And not only for the assistance, but also for the joint production, in particular, of anti-drone weapons and other defence-related equipment. The relevant documents have been signed today," Zelenskyi said.
According to him, Ukraine greatly appreciates the support Lithuania provides to the Ukrainian people.
"In the first days of the large-scale invasion, weapons provided by Lithuania stopped Russian columns and destroyed the occupier. Your support is extremely significant. Weapons, equipment, powerful military packages, training of Ukrainian soldiers, Lithuania's leadership in the coalition to demine the territory of Ukraine - all this gives us strength," the President of Ukraine stressed.
As reported, Zelenskyi arrived on a visit to Vilnius on 10 January. He has already held talks with his Lithuanian counterpart, Gitanas Nausėda.
Zelenskyi is also expected to meet with the Prime Minister and Speaker of the Seimas, representatives of Lithuanian political forces, the media, and the Ukrainian community.
Later, the Ukrainian president also plans to visit Latvia and Estonia.
