Enemy prepares to resume offensive in Siverskyi direction – Syrskyi

The operational situation in the East remains difficult. The enemy continues offensive actions at the Kupiansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions.
This was reported by the commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in his telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the occupants keep trying to force our units out of the Kupiansk forest and capture Synkivka, aiming to block Kupiansk. Thanks to the actions of our defenders, the enemy suffers significant losses. Nevertheless, it is trying to increase its efforts primarily at the expense of human resources.
"In the Lyman direction, the enemy is conducting offensive actions to push our troops beyond the Chornyi Zherebets River. It is carrying out intense artillery shelling. In addition, it is moving additional assault companies from the territory of the Russian Federation to the area and is training new assault units in base camps. It is also trying to mine the routes of advance," the statement said.
Syrskyi notes that Serebrianskyi forestry continues to be one of the areas where the enemy's main efforts are concentrated. In this area, unsuccessful attempts are being made to attack our positions with the support of armored vehicles in the directions of Dibrova, Torske and Dibrova, Yampil.
Preparations are underway to resume enemy offensives in the Siverskyi direction. To this end, the enemy is moving "Storm" units and forming assault companies.
"In the area of Bakhmut, the occupants are making every effort to reach the border of the Siversky Donets-Donbas canal. From the north of Bakhmut, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the direction of Bohdanivka, involving units of the "volunteer corps". They are trying to create favorable conditions for an offensive on Chasiv Yar and regain the lost position in the areas of the cascade of lakes east of Klishchiivka and Kurdiumivka, for which they are engaging airborne troops and motorized rifle units from the Northern Fleet," adds Syryskyi.
It is also noted that despite the enemy's large-scale offensive, our soldiers in all directions are firmly holding the defensive lines and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Our commanders make all the necessary decisions in a timely manner, aiming to effectively defeat the enemy's manpower and save the lives of our soldiers.
