Latvia announced new package of military aid to Ukraine

Aid to Ukraine already accounts for more than 1% of Latvia’s GDP.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to Interfax-Ukraine, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs said this at a press conference in Riga after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Speaking about military assistance, Rinkēvičs mentioned the possibility of producing drones. "We can produce cheaper drones, which are very effective, which are so necessary for the Ukrainian military," Rinkēvičs said.
"We will consider the possibility at the government level. Perhaps we will also buy 155-mm ammunition to give it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is exactly what we discussed with the President today," he said.
"As you know, the Saeima has also voted to provide more than 500 million euros over three years, and this particular program will be focused on the Chernihiv region," the Latvian president said.
Rinkēvičs also recalled "an international tribunal for responsibility for war crimes, as well as for the abduction of Ukrainian children who need to be returned".
"And, of course, our support is absolutely clear and unequivocal on Ukraine's accession to NATO. These are the only guarantees of security, and we will continue to work to ensure that Ukraine receives not only promises but also concrete evidence that it will join the Alliance as soon as possible," he said.
