Switzerland wants to hold global peace conference on Ukraine
At a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the Swiss Federal Council Viola Amgerd reaffirmed the country’s commitment to organising a peace conference on Ukraine at the highest level.

Amgerd focused on the issue of implementing Kyiv's peace initiatives and called it one of the main issues during her meeting with the Ukrainian president.
"Mr Zelenskyy asked me if Switzerland would be ready to organise a meeting at the highest level. I confirmed it: Switzerland would be ready to organise a conference. We agreed that we will deal with this issue in depth to make the peace process successful," the President of the Federal Council assured.
She added that representatives of both countries will immediately begin preparations for the peace conference, and "on our side, we have already appointed a person to take care of this".
"Switzerland will always support a lasting peace. And we are glad that Switzerland can contribute to this," Amgerd said.
