New version of draft law on mobilization to be submitted to Verkhovna Rada in few weeks – Defense Ministry
A new version of the draft law on mobilization will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in a few weeks.
This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Nataliia Kalmykova, Censor.NET reports with reference to Hromadske.
"We would like it to be a matter of days, but we understand that it will most likely be several weeks," the official said.
Kalmykova also noted that the new version of the draft law will not contain any fundamental changes, but "approaches to certain categories of citizens will change."
The main idea of the draft law is unchanged, says the Deputy Minister of Defense. It is to give those who have been fighting on the front line since 2022 and earlier a chance to rest: "To do this, we need not only to establish the rules for dismissal from service, but also to solve the problem of replacing people at the front."
Earlier, Defense Minister Rustem Umierov said that the ministry's team had already prepared a new version of the draft law on mobilization, taking into account the proposals of people's deputies.
