At the beginning of 2024, there were more than 10 million pensioners in Ukraine. 51% of them receive pensions of less than UAH 4 thousand. The average pension amount is UAH 5,385.
This is evidenced by the data of the Pension Fund, Censor.NET reports with reference to Opendatabot.
"More than half of pensioners - 51% - receive payments of less than UAH 4000. Only a third of pensioners receive payments higher than or at the level of the average pension," the report says.
The average pension in Ukraine increased by 16.5% over the year to UAH 5385.25.
Pensioners in the capital receive the highest payments - UAH 7248, and the lowest - in Ternopil region: UAH 4070. Currently, payments in 8 regions of the country are higher than the national average.
