Macron calls on NATO countries to conclude security agreements with Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron believes that Ukraine’s bilateral security agreements with NATO countries, along with Western aid, will help put pressure on Putin.
Macron said this when answering journalists' questions after his special address at the Davos Economic Forum, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"What is useful and at the same time a certain pressure on President Putin is all the bilateral security guarantees we provide, plus the assistance efforts we make, this is what will help Ukraine," the French president said.
He also called on Europe to develop an agenda this year that will guarantee that Russia does not win the war.
According to the French leader, there is strong coordination between Ukraine and NATO member states.
"That is why we have proposed to conclude bilateral agreements with some critical members that would provide security and would not depend on joining NATO. Prime Minister Sunak already made a trip a few days ago and signed such an agreement. We are finalizing a similar agreement with Ukraine," he added.
